Mill-sail Type Público Deposited
Many Greek coins of the Archaic period have for their reverse type a square design composed of six or eight lines radiating from a common centre to the corners and sides of the square. The resulting six or eight triangular compartments are alternately raised or depressed, giving somewhat the appearance of a swastika or mill-sail and from whence is derived the modern name for the design.
