Moneta di Coppella Öffentlichkeit Deposited
The name given to a Scudo struck by Ferdinand II at Florence in 1656. It bears on the reverse the inscription IMPVRITATE REIECTA, and was of extremely pure silver. The operation of refining gold and silver from all alloys is known as coppellazione.
