Definición
  • A name given to certain Mexican cast silver pieces of eight Reales, issued from 1811 to 1813 by General Jose Maria Morelos of the Republican forces, in the Province of Oaxaca. There are corresponding coins of the value of two, one, and one half Reales of the same design. The word SUD on the reverse refers to the army of the South, of which he was the commander in chief.
