Obole Público Deposited
A name generally given to the half Denier of the Middle Ages. The term is applied to the earliest small coins of the Cauls, and is also used to describe the base silver pieces of the Merovingian and Carlovingian dynasties. It was retained in the Hungarian coinage until the sixteenth century.
