Ormond Money Público Deposited
A series of silver coins issued in 1643 under the superintendence of James, Marquis of Ormond, the Viceroy of Ireland.
They consist of seven denominations: Crowns, Halfcrowns, Shillings, Sixpences, Groats, Threepence and Halfgroats. See British Numismatic Journal (ii. 341-348).
