Rasi Pubblico Deposited
A gold coin of Travancore com- puted at ten Chakrams. Elliot, Coins of Southern India (iii. 3), states that it dates from a period anterior to the seventh or eighth century, and acids, "though seldom seen in circulation, it is still the denomina- tion used in Northern Malabar for record- ing the value of lands and the ancient rev- enue assessed on them ; but for all ordinary transactions, it has long been superseded by the Kali Fanam, five of which are equal to one Rasi."
