Schraubthaler Público Deposited
A variety of Thaler, the sides of which unscrew like a box, and the interior was used for holding portraits, erotic objects, etc.
The earliest of these coins date from the middle of the sixteenth century. Augsburg and Nuremberg were the principal places of their manufacture.
