Spitzgroschen 上市 Deposited

定義
  • The name given to a series of silver coins struck by the Elector Ernst of Saxony, conjointly with his brothers, the Dukes Wilhelm and Albrecht, and to some extent with his mother, Margaret. The issue began about 1475 and continued to the beginning of the sixteenth century, and the type was copied by Gebhard VII for Mansfeld about 1547.

The word Spitze or Spitz means a point, or pointed, and the coins receive their name from the decorations of the armorial design on the reverse.
