Temple Money Publique Deposited
A name given to a series of Chinese medals, dating from the time of the Sung dynasty (A.D. 960- 1127), and specially of the period of Tsing- Kang, A.D. 1126.'
These medals were employed at cere- monies in honor of the god Kuei-Sing, who forms a part of the constellation of Ursus Major. Conf. Kainz, Die sogenannten Chinesischen Tempelmunzen, 1895, and see also Kangtang.
