Definition

• An inscription which appears On Swiss Shooting pieces of five Francs, issued for the cantons of Freiburg, Lausanne, etc. It corresponds to Schutzenthaler (q.v.). The Italian form, Tiro Federale, occurs on the issues for Lugano.
