Zesthalven Pubblico Deposited
By a Placaat of the States General of the Netherlands dated April 10, 1693, the Statenschellinge (q.v.) were struck on a smaller planchet, and reduced to the value of five and one half Stuivers. These new coins received the name of Zesthalven. By a decree of November 22, 1823, they were still further reduced to the value of five Stuivers.
