meaning " Confession Tha- ler, " was the name bestowed on a medallic Thaler issued by Johann Georg II of Sax- ony in 1663. The obverse represents the Elector standing at a table, and the coin received its name from the fact that he is supposed to have handed one of these pieces to the church every time that he went to confession.
