Definition
  • The French equivalent for Doblon and Doubloon. The name is used on a series of silver tokens ranging from one eighth to one Doublon struck in Paris in 1825 for Guadeloupe. See Zay, Histoire monetaire des colonies franchises. 1892. (p. 203).
