Ducatello Pubblico Deposited
A silver coin of the Republic of Venice, which appeared under the Doge Marco Foscarini (1762-1763). It was evidently intended for foreign trade, and as late as 1823 the Ducatello is referred to in Alexandrian coinage as equal to ten Medini, or one fourth of the Piastre.
