Homereus Publique Deposited

Définition
  • This name, as we learn from Strabo (xiv. 1, 37), was given to certain bronze coins struck at Smyrna which hear the type of Homer seated. Illustrations of these coins will lie found in the British Museum catalogue, Ionia (Plate xxv. Nos. 15-17).
