• An obsolete form of the Ongaro or Ungaro. Richard Hayes, in The Negociators' Magazine, 1740, mentions " a Hongre at 15 1/2 Livres, " current at Bergamo; " an Bongre, or Hungarian Sequin, of about 240 or 250 Aspers, " used in Constantinople; and " a (Hold Hongre at 8 1/2 Livres, " current at Bologna.
