Peerdeke Pubblico Deposited

Definizione
  • A base silver coin issued at Nimegue, Zutphen, Zwolle, Groningen, Roermond, etc., during the sixteenth ecu tury. Its value varied slightly, being from one half to one third of the Escalin or Snaphaan. The name, like that of the Cavallo (q.v.), appears to be derived from the figure of the running horse on the ob- verse. See v.d. Chijs (passim).
