Pentradrachm Publique Deposited

A Greek silver coin of the value of five Drachms (q.v.). It was rarely struck, though specimens issued by the early kings of Macedonia are known. A gold Pentadrachm was issued for Egypt by Ptolemy I Soter (B.C. 323-284) and Ptolemy II Philadelphus (B.C. 284-247).
