Porto Novo Pagoda Público Deposited
A name given to one of the varieties of the Pagoda (q.v.), probably because it was first coined by the Portuguese at Porto Novo or Feringhipet. It has a figure of Vishnu on the obverse, and the reverse presents a granulated sur- face. It is sometimes referred to as the Scott Pagoda.
