Applied Finish Público Deposited

Definición
  • Applied Finish.  A chemical treatment of metal to effect a patina; it is applied by daubing with chemical soaked cotton or cloth. The object to be colored must be clean and grease free and is applied, allowed to dry, and subsequent treatment are applied until the desired color is obtained. Applied finish is economical in the use of chemicals, and is generally applied to large objects, or objects that cannot be moved to the studio, as statues at location. Because of the ease of using immersion finish, and others, medallic objects seldom require applied finishes.  See  finish and finishing, patina.
