Art Relief Pubblico Deposited
- Art Relief. A small cast sculptural item with detail of one side only. They are made from a single bas-relief model and are considered a medallic item by collectors who view those less than 18-inch as collectible. Larger than 18 inches (granted an arbitrary boundry) are called sculptural reliefs, and larger than 24 inches are considered tablets. Large cast reliefs in bronze or other metals are intended to be placed on a wall, sculptural pedestal or other architectural surface. An art relief which is struck (limited by the striking capacity of the press) is a PLAQUETTE.
