Definizione

• Benchwork.  Operations performed on dies or medallic items at a bench; all hand engraving and hand toolwork are performed at a workbench. Benchwork includes most any other operation performed by hand, most chasing, filing, burnishing, some trimming and piercing, proof polishing dies, loop soldering, some fabricating, mounting and such. 
  Some tools are named after their use at a bench: bench pin, bench stone, bench vise.
