Bob Loop 上市 Deposited
- Bob Loop. A simple loop in the form of a small circle. It can be an integral pard of a diestruck item by being in the die and formed at the same time as the item; or it can be soldered on afterwards. Bob loops always support pendant medals. See loop. In cataloging medallic items "bob loop" is generally not mentioned (when loop is used in describing it means this form of loop). Bob loop is indicated only when it is in contrast to a fob loop which is wider to accommodate a strap or ribbon. An example occurred in 1923 when both varieties of loops were issued for the Concord Vermont First School in America for Training Teachers Medal (struck by Whitehead & Hoag). The two varieties were illustrated in The Numismatist.References: P2 {1926} Anon. Medal For First Normal School in America. The Numismatist 39:3 (March 1926) p 129.
