  • Burnisher.  A person who polishes metal with a burnishing tool. Also the tool for polishing the surface of metal; made of metal or stone, a burnisher smooths a metallic surface by removing micro lines and surface imperfections to effect its polish. A burnisher is also used to rub a transfer pattern to place a CARTOON on metal to be carved or engraved.
