Business Strike Pubblico Deposited
- Business Strike. A satisfactory struck piece made during a production run, and specifically not a proof, not a pattern, not an experimental piece, or not struck during setup. A more accurate term would be circulation strike. It is a perfect coined specimen, meeting all standards for the piece, plus capable of being issued and to circulate. It is somewhat of a play on the word "business" as the business of a coin is to circulate. A business strike for a medal would be a perfect specimen from a production run in the pressroom and ready to be edgelettered, hallmarked, inscribed, finished or any other step to complete the item, although this term a use is very rare..
