Card 上市 Deposited
- Card. A numismatic item issued as an advertisement by the sponsor or issuer. Despite its name (they are not cardboard), numismatic cards are made of metal and appear in many forms and compositions; they always carry the name and location of the sponsor. Cards are small diameter, usually under one inch, and distributed by the issuer. A separate class are storecards, in similitude to a token, to promote the sponsor's store, service or merchandise. Despite the fact they expressed no denomination, these may have circulated (because of a cent coin shortage and their resemblance to the small cent after 1859). An advertissing replica is a medal like a card that is a replica of an award medal won by the issuer and distributed as a self promotion.
