Casemaker's Medal Pubblico Deposited

Definizione
  • Casemaker's Medal.  A medal, customarily in bronze or base metal, made at the same time with exact diameter and thickness as one in precious metal. The replica is then supplied the casemaker who prepares a case to fit; the two medals are switched before final shipment. Casemaker's medals often end up as salesman's samples or in the archives of the medalmaking firm.
