Chalking Publique Deposited
- Chalking. A deteriorated condition of zinc. A conversion of the surface of zinc into zinc oxide with white chalk-like appearance; hence any powdery white chalky metal surface. Chalking is also called white rust and is removed by buffing with the use of a soft cratex abrasive.
