Collar Clash Público Deposited

Definición
  • Collar Clash.  An error on a coining press where the inside edge of the collar is struck by one or both dies, usually due to misalignment of the collar during setup (or of improper indexing on modern presses).  The edge of the die(s) will be mashed by the rim of the collar, or the reeding of the collar. A piece struck from such die(s) would show evidence of this malformation.
