Condition Report Öffentlichkeit Deposited
- Condition Report. A formal written, dated statement identifying a valuable object, with full description of its condition, noting defects, imperfections, degree of wear and other notations of preservation. A condition report is prepared by a curator or conservator when a valuable item is received by a museum or other institution, or when such an item is sent out on loan. It is often accompanied by a photograph of the item. The receiving institution is required to sign and return the document noting their agreement with the condition statement. When the object is returned, it is examined again for its condition and noted for any differences in condition, damage or such.
