Contraction Público Deposited

Definición
  • Contraction.  The physical property of metal slightly reducing in size as it cools, particularly in casting; shrinkage. When metal solidifies its molecules are drawn closer together, usually in uniform action, but uneven contraction voids are known to exist. Bronze will shrink from 1½ to 2% during solidification (for other metal ratios see shrinkage).
