Definition

• Corded Border.  A raised border design of twisted strands. A corded border can be molded in soft material – clay, wax, plasticine – with a milgrain tool, much like a beaded border molded with a beading roulette, a continuous strip is rolled out and this is placed on the badsin or background plate.  See border.
