Cordon Öffentlichkeit Deposited

Definition
  • Cordon.  A broad ribbon worn over one shoulder as a badge of honor. It is like the sash worn by a beauty contestant. It differs from neck ribbon because it does not circle the neck. A grand cordon hangs down at the side with a badge, a type of decoration, hung from it, as a very high mark of honor. Cordon bleu, blue ribbon, is a highly prized recognition – with or without a medal – often bestowed in the culinary and other fields.
