  • Curator.  A custodian of a numismatic or medallic collection who is charged with its preservation and conservation. In addition the curator's duties include preparing exhibits, cataloging the objects in the collection, and often assisting others in publishing information about the items held in the collection. Curators must answer many questions, have a broad knowledge of the field and specific knowledge of the items in their collections.
