Die Bulge Pubblico Deposited
- Die Bulge. A raised area on the surface of a struck piece; evidence of a sunken die. This condition is found on dies of extremely long use, or those that have been employed to restrike items. Papal medals, known for use of dies over many years, have suffered from sinking and display the raised surface of the sunken die. See sink, sunken die.
