Diecutter Public Deposited
- Diecutter. A person who cuts a die; also the mechanism, as on a pantograph, which cuts the die, the term includes the cutting point and its rotating mechanism. There are many names of the person who mechanically cuts or operates a diecutting machine. He is not a die engraver, diesinker or diemaker (these terms imply hand engraving, hubbing or a tool and diemaker respectively). But in addition to being called a diecutter, he is also a transfer die engraver, pantograph operator or reducing machine operator.
