Dieshift Público Deposited

Definição
  • Dieshift.  A doubling on a struck piece in which both lettering and detail appears in two or more images, superimposed on each other. The doubling effect is greater towards the edge of the piece, and lesser towards the center. On multiple struck pieces, the effect is due to improper seating of the piece on successive or on the final strike. On coined pieces, the doubling is in the die (as from a double sunk die from a hub or master die).
