Definition

• Double Entry.  An error in hubbing giving a double image to all detail and lettering, caused by the hub being out of register between two impressions as on a working die. The shifting appears greater as the distance is greater from the center point, thus lettering in the legend near the border appears more double than, perhaps, the device.
