Dubious Attribution Pubblico Deposited

Definizione
  • Dubious Attribution.  A hypothetical or conjectural assumption about an unknown numismatic item. It is a trial or working attribution, generally based on stylistic knowledge of similar pieces. If a search among numismatic literature identifies the piece as to period, place and possible maker, then the attribution is no longer dubious.  See attribution. Compare conjectural description.
