Flash Plate Pubblico Deposited
- Flash Plate. Very thin plating; minimum required to cover areas desired. The immersion time in the electrolysis tank is very brief. If the item is being goldplated, such flash plate is called goldwash. See electroplating. Flash plate is usually lacquered to help retain the gold color, but any other operations in the finishing department – as burnishing or buffing – would remove the thin plating.
