Definition

• Hanger.  A hook, ring, loop or other means attached to a medallic item (usually one sided) for hanging. Hangers are customarily fastened to large medallic items (plaques, galvanos) and occasionally to smaller items (usually uniface medals, medallions and plaquettes).  Compare loop.
