Investment Casting 上市 Deposited

定義
  • Investment Casting.  A lost wax casting procedure where expendable molds are connected to sprues and surrounded by refractible material; the mold is then heated and the wax poured out (dewaxed). Such molds can then be used to cast pieces from molten metal. Highly detailed casts, like medals, can be made by this technique in metals with higher melting points (as bronze, silver, gold) in contrast to those die-cast.  See lost-wax, precision casting.
