Junk Medal Public Deposited

Definition
  • Junk Medal.  A medal of such low value and limited collector interest that it is considered junk. Often of poor quality, without any strong topical interest and content, or issued in such great quantity, that it is usually delegated to dealers’ junk boxes, hence the name. Junk medals are often stock medals furnished by trophy houses for sporting events and other ephemeral events.
