Knife Edge, Knife Rim Público Deposited

Definición
  • Knife Edge, Knife Rim.  A burr or fin where metal flows between the die and the collar in a coining press where the pressure is too great, or the blank is too large. These are British terms for what Americans would call a wire edge. The fin is thin and sharp like a knife hence the name.  See burr, fin; compare flash.
