Made-for-collectors Publique Deposited

Définition
  • Made-for-collectors.  A numismatic item, that is struck to the order, or specifically for sale to collectors. For the most part this is usually a different composition (from a customary issue) to create additional varieties without the necessity of creating a new die. This occurred at the United States Mint and more often at private diesinkers and medalmakers in the 19th century.
