Mated Dies Publique Deposited

Définition
  • Mated Dies.  A pair of obverse and reverse dies intended to be used together to strike a coin or medal. Mated dies are uniform as to size, kind and intended for the same press. They are not muled dies that are used indiscriminately for custom use, perhaps for different clients. Mated dies are those that have been used – or intended to be used – together for a production run of numismatic items.
