Muffin Tin Pubblico Deposited
- Muffin Tin. A collector’s term for a semi-rigid molded plastic insert with recessed areas that hold coins or small medals, usually fitting within a rigid case. Such inserts are often designed to hold uncirculated year sets, other coins or medals in sets. These have openings – each is called a well – to accommodate the precise diameters of the items to be housed. Infrequently the insert is flocked to provide color and texture in the case.Unless the item in snug in its well, it has a tendency to rotate.
