Definizione

• Neck Ribbon.  Narrow cloth from which a pendant medal is suspended, the length of cloth long enough to loop over the head to display the medal on the chest of the recipient. Adult neck ribbons – woven or braided – are typically 30 inches long, 24 inches for a child. Neck ribbons are used with Olympic medals and are always placed around the neck in the ceremonies of the Olympic winners. An eyelet sewn in the ribbon allows for a ring to attach to a looped medal.  See ribbon.
