Pierced for Suspension Público Deposited
- Pierced for Suspension. A medallic item punctured or perforated, not for artistic design, but to suspend it from a chain, cord, ribbon or other mounting attachment. Medals are usually pierced or holed near the center top of the obverse. If a drill is used to make the opening it is called a drill hole.
