Roller Die Pubblico Deposited
- Roller Die. (2) A special punch made with raised lettering on the outermost part of a double-beveled disk or die; it is placed on a pan in a roller press and impressed into the edge of a rotating medal. The press can accommodate most diameter medals from two to six inches. The resulting lettering is incised. Improper use of the roller die results in slippage, causing missing or overlapping letters.
